JOMORO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ELECTS PRESIDING MEMBER AND CONFIRMS MCE

On Thursday, 8th May 2025, the Hon. Assembly Members of the Jomoro Municipal Assembly elected Hon. Francis Kennedy Yankey as the Presiding Member of the Assembly and swore in new government appointees.

Out of the Forty-Six (46) total votes cast, Hon. Francis Kennedy Yankey had forty-two (42) YES votes, representing 82%. Four (4) Hon. Assembly Members voted NO, representing 17.65%.

In addressing the Hon. Assembly Members, he expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and called for unity to help develop the Municipality. He reiterated his commitment to developing the Jomoro Municipality and indicated his openness to constructive suggestions and contributions.

Hon. Benedict Boadi, the President’s nominee for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position, secured forty-five (45) Yes votes out of the Forty-Six (46) total votes cast, representing 98%. One Member voted NO, representing 2%.

In a brief address, Hon. Benedict Boadi thanked the President and Assembly Members for reaffirming their trust in him to superintend over the growth and welfare of the Jomoro Municipality and called for new ideas to bring development to the Municipality.
