JOMORO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY REWARDS A VOLUNTARY “ROAD CONTRACTOR ” MR. KAKU KABENLA


The 66th Independence Day Celebration was held at Half-Assini Senior High School (HASCO PARK). The occasion was graced by Awulae Annor Adjaye ||| and Awulae Obaahema Nda Bozoma ||, President of Western Nzema Traditional Council and the Queen Mother of Western Nzema Traditional Council respectively. Also present at the occasion were Chiefs and Queen Mothers, Security officers, Clergy, teachers, students, pupils and other important dignitaries.
Several awards were given to deserving people. One of such awards that caught the eye of all present was received by Mr. Kaku Kabenlah from Takinta. This patriotic son of Jomoro has engaged in voluntary potholes patching on our roads for over two decades.
Hon. Louisa Iris Arde, the Municipal Chief Executive today, rewarded him by placing him on the assembly’s payroll permanently. He is entitled to monthly payment and SSNIT contribution until he retires.
She thanked him for his selflessness, dedication, and commitment to duty and called on all and sundry to emulate this gesture exhibited by this hard-working son of the soil.
