THE MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE FOR JOMORO MUNICIPAL ENGAGES WITH SOME COMMUNITIES IN THE MUNICIPALITY

As part of her mandate to promote and implement government policies at the local level, deliver quality public services and improve social inclusion, the Municipal Chief Executive for Jomoro Municipal Assembly, Hon. Louisa Iris Arde engaged with some communities in the Jomoro Municipality from 15th to 19th August, 2022. She was accompanied by some key staff and Assembly Members.
The communities visited were Ellonyi, Kengen,Twenen, Agyeza, Allengenzule, Allowule, Mpeasem, Anlomatuope, Jaway, Jaway Wharf, Metika, Mbem, Tikovo No.2, Bawia, Nvellenu, Ebonloa, Nsuoano, Ghana Nungua, Cocoatown, New Ankasa, Fante Newtown Samenye, New Nzulezo, Azuleti and Nuba
She expressed gratitude to the Chiefs and Elders for the unflinching support and fervent prayers they offered during her nomination and confirmation as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Jomoro Municipal Assembly.
She threw light on the projects that the Assembly had completed and the ongoing ones in the respective communities.
- Renovation of 5 Bed Room House for Medical Superintendent at Half-Assini
- Renovation of Half-Assini Catholic Primary School (on-going)
- Construction of Modern ASTRO TURF at Half-Assini Police Park (ongoing)
- Construction of 2 market shed and 2 market shed renovation at Tikobo 2 (ongoing)
- Construction of 2 market shed and 2 market shed renovation at Sowodadzim (ongoing)
- 6-unit toilet facility at BEMANT School at Bawia with its overhead tank and accessible water about to start in the next month.
- 6-unit toilet facility at MANS School at New Nzulezo with its overhead tank and accessible water about to start in the next month.
- 3-unit classroom block and 6-seater toilet facility with its overhead tank and accessible water about to start at Ndumsuazo
- 3-bedroom for the Municipal Director of Education at Half-Assini about to about start.
- Renovation of Nursery block at Ekpu (ongoing).
The communities presented a host of issues to her and she assured them that t Management of the Assembly would take the necessary steps to ensure that the issues were addressed.
She added that the Assembly is working very hard to bring the needed development that would improve the living conditions of the people in the Municipality and called for their full support and cooperation.
